Our Vision
Our vision is a world in which all people recognize and obey the indwelling presence of God and live a healthy, happy, peaceful, and prosperous life.
"And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away." Rev. 21:1
Our Mission
Our mission is to be a powerful catalyst for change that teaches and promotes the daily practice of spiritual principles which inspire and empower people to live a better life.
"For behold, I create a new heaven and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come to mind."
Isaiah 65:17
What is a New Thought Center?
A New Thought (Metaphysical) Center teaches that life's potential is greater than the outer appearance. We understand our true selves to be more than the physical, but to be that perfect, whole and complete idea of God. OGOT supports the development of UFBL New Thought centers throughout the mid-Atlantic, including The Divinity Center for Better Living in Washington, D.C, The Spiritual Unfold-ment Center in Richmond, VA, and the Path of Life Center for Better Living on the Eastern Shore.
"Write the vision and make it plain...For there is still a vision for the appointed time; it speakes of the end and does not lie. If it seems to tarry, wait for it; it will surely come...the righteous live by their faith"
Habakkuk 2: 2-3; 4
Manage The Facts
Hold The Vision
Know The Truth!
The One God One Thought Center Board of Directors has embraced this "mantra" as our working formula and new covenant for 2010 and beyond. It is a simple but powerful way of creating a pathway for the Spirit of God to flow through the consciousness of our spiritual community to bring us into alignment with Spirit's highest vision.
At One God One Thought Center, we see ourselves as spiritual leaders in the New Thought Christian movement. By teaching and learning universal spiritual laws and principles, and applying those principles in every day practical situations, we are developing and maintaining a vital role in the spiritual health, energy and vitality of our entire community at large.
We are aligning ourselves for the next great movement of God. We know that demonstrating Spirit driven leadership is our calling and spiritual assignment. In April 2010 we will again hold elections fornew board of directors members who will have the charge of moving our people and our organization into a new decade of change and growth.
In preparation for our board elections, on Saturday, February 13th, at 12noon, our board will host a special presentation and training to make us aware of all the responsibilities and commitments of board service at our center. We will discuss how we use spiritual principles in managing the facts as they appear, while at the same time, maintaining the consciousness of love, service, and prosperity that is at the core of a growing, thriving spiritual community. This presentation will also be held again on Sunday, February 21st after service and all are welcome.
